Norkim Distributors was established in 1981 by Gordon & Melody Latimer as a spin-off from another successful business. The company started wholesaling a line of exclusive solid walnut awards (known in Canada as LAC - of which most models are still sold). Soon after, Freeman Products appointed Norkim as exclusive Canadian distributors. Growth came quickly in the early eighties as plastic figurines made their mark in the awards industry.
In 1987, Norkim began manufacturing laminated plaques which added to the ever expanding line of trophy products. Sales continued to grow with the addition of three additional major warehousing distribution centres in Canada.
We are very proud to boast that we have some of our original staff. We have grown in many areas such as manufacturing Laminate Plaques, Custom Manufacturing, selling computer engraving machines and laser equipment. Norkim is now able to provide a full service to the Trophy/Ad Specialty and Gift Markets.
